The Lives of Stars

“The Lives of Stars” will track how different stars progress through birth, adulthood, old age, and ultimately death, an evolution that astronomers have studied for decades. The program will note some exciting changes stars endure when a star runs low on hydrogen fuel and can turn into an exotic object such as a black hole. After stellar evolution is explored, a portion of the program (20 minutes) will be devoted to viewing the current night sky. Showtimes are Fridays at 7 pm from January 27 – March 9, 2012.
