Irie Palace

117 Born and raised in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Diane Landon moved to the United States with her family when she was 18. While majoring in business at Marquette, Landon created a commercial plan for a Jamaican restaurant--a plan that has now been realized. From the chefs, to the recipes, to the ingredients, Irie Palace stays true to its Jamaican roots. "My mom and sister cook," Landon explains. "I'm learning though," she adds with a laugh. "All the recipes come from my mom and her mom. There is no recipe book; it all comes from her head... And almost everything we use in the kitchen is Jamaican, and that's what gives it a different taste. Everything here is authentic."

This is the best and most authentic west indian restaurant in the area. I eat there regularly and always enjoy the food. The staff is friendly also.
