Set inside the lobby of the historic Marshall Building in the Third Ward, Jing's has become a busy Downtown lunch destination. The buffet is quick and no surprises-steam trays laden with hot-and-sour and egg drop soup, beef and broccoli, pork fried and plain rice, fried chicken and pork and other Chinese-American staples. The flavor is mild-a splash of soy sauce from the bottle on each table might be helpful. Jing's distinction is its setting. Modern
and elegant, with an exposed-brick outer wall and pastel plaster minimally adorned with framed calligraphy, Jing's is a pleasant place for a fast bite or-better yet-a bit of relaxation with a pot of tea.
Jing's also offers takeout and delivery. Open daily at 11:30 a.m.
