Located in the former home of Dish, Buckley's interior has been almost entirely redecorated. There is one nod to Ireland on the menu: an entree of Irish stew. Otherwise it is an eclectic mix of
panini sandwiches, barbecue ribs, appetizers such as crab cakes, and
entrees with Italian touches. During my first visit, I saw a plate of
Kobe burgers being delivered to a table. They appeared so tempting that
I immediately ordered them. I was not disappointed. The three burgers are succulent and tender, topped with a few leafy greens and
marinated red onions. Entrees also include eggplant
Parmesan and Sicilian chicken. Buckley's
Kiskeam Inn is a place to visit for a bit of tranquility, a refuge from
the busy pace of the city. Solid service and welcoming bartenders help
Buckley's fill an interesting niche, somewhere between a pub and fine
dining.
