Genghis Khan offers quick service and customized meals in the form of a
stir-fry buffet. Pick from frozen slices of chicken, pork, beef and lamb in a covered cooler at the food bar. Grab a portion of cold, cooked noodles-or not: You decide what goes in
your bowl. Add fresh ingredients such as
pineapple, green onion, broccoli, tomato, sprouts, chopped cilantro,
green pepper, lettuce, shredded carrot, celery and zucchini. At the end
of the line a sign suggests different flavor combinations to season
your stir-fry. These include Mongolian sauce (very mild),
Szechuan sauce (mild), sweet & hot sauce (medium) and Hunan sauce
(hot). Go crazy with cooking wine, sesame oil, vegetable oil,
garlic oil, hot sauce, bean sauce, lemon water, ginger water and oyster
flavor. Sprinkle on some peanuts and sesame seeds before handing your
overflowing bowl to the grill master behind the counter. Tossing the
contents onto an enormous sizzling griddle, the chef uses oversize
chopsticks to keep the ingredients moving until they come to a steaming
finish.
