This tiny hole in the wall has just three tables and two seats at a counter (think carry-outs), and yet it is a busy place. On the walls a sign titled 'Myths about Philly cheese steak' will help prevent you from making faux pas like asking for tomato sauce, toasted bread or sliced beef. The hoagie roll is untoasted, the beef is chopped rib-eye steak and the cheese of choice is Cheez Whiz. The combination of whiz with chopped steak and onions creates a delicious if gooey mess. Other inauthentic cheeses are permitted, though, including provolone and white American.
