CARTE BLANCHE STUDIOS TO PRESENT A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM Carte Blanche Studios, one of Milwaukee's fastest-rising theaters, is proud to present its latest production, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Following the success of the now extended Cabaret, director Jimmy Dragolovich hopes increase exposure and attendance with the Shakespeare classic. The whimsical play focuses on interactions between four young lovers, fairies and a marriage between Theseus and Hippolyta in a forest outlying Athens. While traditionally a light romantic comedy, Dragolovich hopes to revitalize the plot by portraying the fairies in a darker, more sinister tone. Come watch the cast make mischief in the wood at Carte Blanche Studios, located at 1024 S 5th street, just three blocks south of National Ave. A Midsummer Night's Dream will show June 25-28 and 30, and July 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7. All showings begin at 7:30 p.m. , except Sunday shows start at 3 p.m. Individual tickets are $20, or $15 per ticket for groups of 10 or more, and can be purchased by calling the box office at (262) 716-4689. About Carte Blanche Studios Carte Blanche Studios, a multi-purpose creative space, host to gallery evenings, theatre productions, workshops and live music, was founded in 2007 by Milwaukee-native Jimmy Dragolovich, a professional actor, director and filmmaker. Dragolovich began his training at Milwaukee High School of the Arts and went on to earn a Fine Arts degree from CalArts. He has performed in numerous off-Broadway shows in New York City, and also has produced and directed a variety of short films, documentaries and music videos for his own independent production company. Upon returning to Milwaukee, Dragolovich founded Carte Blanche Studios with the goal of promoting and cultivating talent in Milwaukee's arts community. What began as a tiny theatre in a loft above an antique store on 1st Street evolved, in a joint effort with Dragolovich and co-producer Adam White, into what is now a newly renovated 80-seat theatre, gallery and lounge on Milwaukee's affluent 5th Street Row.
