Come to Art Bar at 8pm on Thursday August 14th for "Bars for the Arts" and help Insurgent Theater kick off their East Coast tour! The evening will feature a live DJ, food, Lakefront beer specials, and a chance to take home some pretty fabulous prizes! Tickets are $10. Bars for the Arts is a benefit supporting Insurgent Theatre to help them raise money so they can take their most recent project, "Paint the Town," on the road. Insurgent Theatre is a Milwaukee based theatre company founded by Tracy Doyle and Rex Winsome, producing locally written plays and other performance art. Their tour begins at home at The Alley near Fuel Cafe on August 15th and takes them to cities including Boston, New York and St Louis before finishing up back at home at The Borg Ward on the 31st.
