26.2 for Leukemia

Milwaukee, WI -- July 23, 2008 -- On Saturday, August 2nd ,from 7PM %u2013 10PM, Buckhead Saloon Milwaukee will host 26.2 for Leukemia, a fundraising event for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. 26.2 for Leukemia will feature live music from the Bryan Cherry Band, door prizes and a silent auction. There will be a $15 cover charge at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. This exciting event is hosted by 3 members of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society´s Tem in Training program. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training is the world's largest endurance sports training program. The program provides training to run or walk marathons and half marathons or participate in triathlons and century (100-mile) bike rides. Since 1988, more than 360,000 volunteer participants have helped raise more than $850 million. LLS is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Our mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
