Collegiate and club rowers from across the nation as well as members of the U.S. National Rowing Team will tackle the Milwaukee and Menomonee Rivers during the 9th Annual Milwaukee River Challenge. Teams will begin at 25th and Canal streets on the Menomonee River, head east to the Milwaukee River junction and row north to Schlitz Park just below Pleasant Street. Spectators are encouraged to view the race on the Harley-Davidson Museum grounds, along the Milwaukee RiverWalk or at Schlitz Park. Also providing spectacular vantage points of the competition are the many riverside restaurants along the course as well as the many overhead bridges. Members of the U.S. National Rowing Team will be available for a meet and greet at the Harley-Davidson Museum, Friday, Sept. 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The meet and greet is free and open to the public.
