Details:

Catch Brooklyn Rider, a multi-faceted string quartet becoming increasingly known for its creative programming and exciting collaborations, which illuminate music in new ways and invite audiences into a shared experience. Uniquely able to address a wide and inclusive range of music, they are as willing to explore the world of Haydn as the music of our time. They have performed in venues as varied as Joe's Pub in NYC, Todai-ji Temple in Nara, Japan and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. Born out of a desire to use the rich medium of the string quartet as a vehicle for borderless communication, all of the musicians have enjoyed diverse careers in music that have intersected with each other over many years, and all are veterans of Yo Yo Maīs Silk Road Project. Donīt miss this unique concert!

Time / date: 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2010. Location: Wisconsin Lutheran College's Schwan Concert Hall (8815 W. Wisconsin Ave.) To buy tickets: visit www.franklymusic.org.

Its audience-friendly format combines sophisticated but accessible discussions of the music and ideas followed by a first-rate performance and post-concert reception to meet and mingle with the musicians.
