The South by Southwest festival unveiled its 2008 schedule yesterday, and, as expected, it’s overwhelming. Buried between all the bands you’re dying to see and all the band’s you’ve never heard of are a handful of Milwaukee acts:

Collections of Colonies of Bees
Cougar Den
Freshwater Collins
Jon Mueller
The BoDeans will also make an appearance, as will potential next-big-thingers Bon Iver, the Eau Claire indie-folk act that’s unfortunately distanced from Milwaukee’s scene.
Three Madison bands made the cut: Screamin’ Cyn Cyn & The Pons, Droids Attack and
The Gusto.
