How sick do you have to be before you reach for alternative healing methods?
Since the Shepherd Express is a newspaper that freely expresses opinions outside "the norm," I find it a great place to discuss alternative healing methods. I've tried many for my family and myself, and I'd like to share what I've discovered, in case the information might be of help to others with similar problems.
Fyi, I am NOT a health care practitioner, nurse, or even a med student. I am a mom, wife, former full-time employee, daughter, and the list goes on. My interest in alternative health solutions is that i'd felt lousy for a very long time and never had any answers. I will share my experiences with you, and you can decide if you want to ask questions or investigate alternatives on your own. If you would like to add your own experiences, I would really appreciate that as well.
Today I only have time for a short blurb on Tinnitus (ringing in the ears). My dad, currently 75 years old, has been suffering from Tinnitus for over 25 years non-stop. He had always been told by his doctors that there is nothing that could be done for it. It turns out, there is.
I was walking down the aisle of Health Hut in Hales Corners (I walk their aisles several times a week, great store, knowledgeable people), and saw a product called "Ring Stop." I said "You've got to be kidding me!" Manager of the store said to try it along with Ginko Biloba. I bought and delivered them to my dad.
Within 2 weeks his ringing of 25 years was 80% better. After 4 weeks, at least 70% of his days he has no ringing. When his ears do ring now, it is very faint. I think about how horrible it is to have such a clatter in in one's head every waking hour, and thank goodness this worked FOR HIM. The manager of Health Hut said he hears of good results, but once in awhile it doesn't work. That's why I got my dad both supplements instead of just the Ring Stop. Both have been known to help with Tinnitus.
Anyway, good luck, good health, hope this helps someone get relief.
