103.7 Kiss FM Drops Chris Brown

First Wrigley gum dropped Chris Brown's promotional campaign yesterday, now the Milk Campaign has pulled Brown's "Got Milk" ads. But more troubling for the R&B singer: Radio stations have stopped playing his music, too.

I called Kiss FM to ask about the absence of Brown from the station's playlists this afternoon and a DJ confirmed "he's done for now." (Rihanna is still in regular rotation, though, which is to say you can still literally hear at least a song featuring her every half hour).

Details are scarce in the Chris Brown/Rihanna case and no abuse charges have been filed yet, but in the court of public opinion, Brown has already been found guilty. It's a spectacular fall for one of R&B's most promising stars, and short of absolute acquittal, there's no way Brown can emerge with his career unscathed: You can't rough up one of the biggest, most beloved (and procelain fragile) pop stars on the planet and survive the resulting PR fallout.

I have no problem with people paying for their mistakes but, Chris Brown isn't the only singer to do something aggainst the law or shady in the eyes of others. If we start banning certain music because of an artists actions where do we draw the line? Pretty soon the airways will be silent!

Agreed. R. Kelly can sodomize minors willy nilly and no one even cares. What gives?

Kudos to KISS. It's about time celebrities pay for their crimes. If this was a regular citizen, he'd be in jail.

I really don't think that is right, it is true, there is no excuse for what Chris did, but, this happens every day in a lot of people lifes and life goes on, the boy made one mistake and he has to spend the rest of his life for it, but, here it is the person he did it to can forgive him and no one else can, well what about all of the other lil stars and their problems, like Hanna Montanna and her 20 year old boyfriend, I just think the world should get a life and stop trying to live the star's.

Life goes on? Would you feel this way if your mother or daughter was beat by her significant other? Many victims say they forgive their abuser because they're afraid of the repercussions if they don't. But, hey, let's just let it be. Let's let people abuse each other, rape children, beat animals, and just turn a cheek to it. What a great way to stand up for humankind.

Not only did radio stations continue playing R. Kelly, James Brown and let us not forget Michael Jackson who paid off one conviction. Hollwood is full of women abusers, Josh Brolin, Christian Bale, Terance Howard, Christian Slater to name a few, yet they continue to make movies and let us also not forget the gangbanging rappers, who where former drug dealers, caught up in murder cases, nothing has changed with most of them, Jayz slapped a fan in the face yet his music wasn't pulled. We live in such a double standard country, where a young nineteen old make a mistake and everyone scream for his blood, we continue to let our childrens hero's be drug abusers, Robert Downey Jr( Ironman) Heath Ledger( Dark Knight) and remember Mike Phelps being on the front page of a magazine, oh yes... Subway said we all make mistakes and he didn't lose his endorsment from them. Yes abusing is wrong, but... if you treat him like this go through all of your inventory and pull every musician and singer from your line-up that has ever abused anyone.
