Spiral Trance back in Second Life by Popular Demand

Milwaukee, Wis., Jan 16, 2008 - Milwaukee's local Hard Rock band Spiral Trance announces they will make their 2^nd live appearance in Second Life on Wed, Jan 23^rd at The Back Porch located at OD Designs (24,44,21). Spiral Trance is one of the Midwest's best, winning the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Song of the Year in 2006 and holding the #1 spot at Broadjam Radio in the rock and hard rock categories.

The show will begin at 9 pm CST with live progressive guitarist Nevin Nightfireas the supporting act. Spiral Trance will hit the stage in Second Life at 10 pm CST with an hour of original music. A meet and greet will follow the performance.

Second Life has become another medium for Spiral Trance to get their music heard around the world. With Over 10 million residents in Second Life, it has proven to be a extremely valuable medium for this band from Milwaukee to reach the world with their tunes. They have managed to get their music played on over 21 internet radio stations and Second Life clubs in just three months.

"Freedom from convention, music with intention" is their motto. Spiral Trance is living up to this and taking their music where very few bands have yet to go. Since their inception they have been bringing their tunes to the Milwaukee area and now they have ventured out to the nation with a tour of the South last October, shows in Second Life, and other tours planned for 2008. Milwaukee Band's Composition is Featured in

Documentary about Rock Music's Most Popular Guitars

Saltillo, MS (January 7, 2008) – A composition by the Milwaukee, Wisconsin group Spiral Tranceis included in the soundtrack for Solidbodies, The 50 Year Guitar War.

The feature-length documentary which is now available on DVD focuses on the
five decade competition of sounds between the two guitars that have been heard on more popular recordings than any other instruments during the rock era:the Fender Stratocaster and the Gibson Les Paul.

The Spiral Trance composition, Breathe Again (instrumental), is also featured in the film's trailer which can be seen at www.solidbodiesthemovie.com.

Among the others contributing to the project are Joe Bonamassa, internationally acclaimed guitarist known for his technically accomplished playing; Henry Garza, guitarist and singer with the Grammy Award winning Los Lonely Boys; George Gruhn, owner of Gruhn Guitars who is considered to be one of the world's leading experts on vintage guitars; Derek Trucks, famed slide guitar virtuoso who leads his own group and also plays with the Allman Brothers Band; and Richard R. Smith, the author of "Fender: The Sound Heard 'Round The World" which is often viewed as the definitive book about Fender guitars and Leo Fender.

The documentary was written and directed by Guy Hornbuckle.The director is an award-winning broadcast journalist whose company Lightning Lab Productions, LLC produced the project.

Riding on their recent signing with Rat-Pak Records, this Milwaukee based metal group has produced a diverse and heavy album. The true eccentricities of guitar effects really come through their grooving metal sound. The quartet has a refreshingly unique sound that doesn’t allow itself to delve too far into any single genre. Punky, hardcore vocals and melodic singing over driving songs help set SPIRAL TRANCE apart. Each song presents a different characteristic of the band and drives the listener to want more. The album will draw in hard rock and metal fans alike. Its sound allows itself to be heavy, but really draws on the chorus hooks of their lighter relatives.  With national recognition and a growing following, the Milwaukee natives have a bright future.
