Milwaukee's Best Classical Music Ensemble

UW-Milwaukee Fine Arts Quartet

By David Luhrssen

It’s a surprising choice, given the local competition, but not undeserved. The Fine Arts Quartet, working from UW-Milwaukee since 1963, has earned a worldwide reputation as a distinguished chamber music ensemble through recording and international touring as well as performances on campus. The membership has always been international in origin. Currently, the quartet consists of violinists Ralph Evans and Efim Boico, violist Nicol Eugelmi and cellist Wolfgang Laufer.
