By Shepherd Express Staff

With Wisconsin’s high-profile primary now less than a week away, expect to see political candidates and their surrogates dart across the state. Today, Democrat Barack Obama is in the region, appearing at a 1:25 p.m. “town hall” meeting at Waukesha County’s Exposition Center.

Barak Obama looks and sounds great while saying next to nothing. Will the media ever get around to vetting this guy? "Journalists"- get your pens ready and take down these questions: "OK Mr. Obama, just how would you accomplish that?" "OK Mr. Obama, but hasn't that been tried before? How is your plan different?" "Mr. Obama, you claim to have had many successes in both the Illinois and US legislatures- can you detail a few of them?" "Mr. Obama, you spent a very short time in the private sector, and the rest of your adult life in a University setting or in politics- and not very much time in politics, for that matter. Why do you think you're qualified to be the leader of the free world? And please, no 'Our time has come' rhetoric. Only concrete facts, please." So there you go- a few questions you might want to ask one of the greatest actors of our time. (By the way, I wish he'd waited a few cycles to run for President, because I do think his heart is in the right place and he could make a difference- once he's acquired the experience necessary to wade through global politics and not drown.)
Obama sounds like a TV evangelist offering hope for money. Since when has a potential presidential candidate had such a free ride. Never mind , that he has no specifics on issues , he is offering hope and that will take care of everything. America needs a reality check ,you are at war , economy is even worse than predicted and new super powers are emerging ,security risks are at an all time high .After your last presidency one would think that you get it right this time. Vote for substance and experience over likeability.!!!
Another pile of promises by a Democrat never to be fulfilled. Is anybody listening to what he's saying? He sounds like a Kennedy, but with the experience of a failed state senator.
