New York’s Slavic Soul Party! is one of several groups to connect the dots between soulful Balkan brass bands and the street-marching funk of New Orleans. On Taketron, these New York City musicians add the polyphony of their own urban landscape, with hot jazz soloing and an energy level approaching punk-rock levels.
