Ko-Thi Dance Company

By John Schneider

May 25-26
Words From the Sole

UWM Mainstage Theatre, 2400 E. Kenwood Blvd.

A new, original hybrid of African and hip-hop dance collaboratively choreographed by Artistic Director Ferne Bronson, acclaimed b-boy Raphael Xavier, and UWM Dance Department hip-hop specialist Chelsey Walker will be performed by 20 dancers representing every skin color, including longtime Ko-Thi artists, self-taught community hip-hop dancers and trained UWM students. “This show represents a synergy of the souls of the cast and choreographers in a city that is divided, separated, unhealthy,” Bronson says.
