“Nobody should be stuck with just one diet,” says Artistic Director Michael Pink, whose ballets comprise much of the season. The “Spring Series” offers new, contemporary artistic challenges for the dancers and taste-expanding opportunities for audiences. Lila York's Celts incorporates Irish folk dance and The Chieftains' music. Matthew Neenan of BalletX sets his The Last Glass to indie-rock. Alejandro Cerrudo of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago juxtaposes moving screens and dancers' bodies in Extremely Close.
