By Stephanie Felchner
This purple house stands out in its East side location; inside you’ll find a number of stunning pieces which adorn the walls of this two-story home-like gallery. The gallery has been showing fine contemporary art in the purple Victorian house dating back since 1885 for the past 18 years. There are numerous paintings, drawings, and small sculptures. Peltz Gallery also boasts a large inventory of museum-quality original lithographs, etchings and wood block prints. The gallery presents six shows a year. Each year in the spring Peltz presents the Remarkable Women Show featuring the work of over 30 female artists. There is a knowledgeable and the gallery is also fairly priced. One of the aims of the gallery is to attract both young and veteran collectors alike; also the gallery represents several artists on a regular basis. 1119 E.
