Runway Dog Exercise Area
Dogs need a place to mingle, too. Take your pooch to
the Runway Dog Exercise Area, located off Rawson Avenue (between Howell and
Nicholson avenues). It’s best to enter next to Gastrau’s Golf Center (1300 E.
Rawson Ave.) or via a gravel road at the Cudahy Nature Preserve (1214 E. Rawson
Ave.). Unsnap the leash and let your dog roam in the double-gated fenced area,
open daily from dawn to dusk. But make sure he or she has a permit from
Milwaukee County Parks first. (K.H.)
